dXTR is the first in a series of mobile applications being developed by TCDI in support of the arms export community. dXTR allows you to hold the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), in the palm of your hand. It provides rapid ITAR search and retrieval capabilities in the space of a single mobile application for the iPhone and the iPod touch. Sign up for our mailing list to receive notifications about upcoming features.

The ITAR touches nearly all industries, including computer, electronics, software, Internet, defense systems, firearms and ammunition, automobiles, among others. Companies affected by the ITAR have had to pay exorbitant fees for access to easily searchable versions of the ITAR, or scan page by page through the publicly available versions …until now.

dXTR includes a native search capability for user-selected sections of the ITAR. With an in-app purchase, users can add the capability to complete full-text searches of the entire ITAR. dXTR allows you to search the ITAR to quickly and easily determine the regulations governing your items for export or import. You can search for the ECCN or USML code associated with your items, and used the native copy and paste feature on your phone to copy the information to any application supporting cut-and-paste features on your mobile device, including email and SMS.

After downloading dXTR, the parts of the ITAR that you purchase reside on your device, so you can browse and search offline. As the ITAR is updated or amended, TCDI will publish application updates to the App Store, giving users free, timely access to these changes.

TCDI has been supporting the arms control community for over 25 years, providing technology support to both government and industry. We are proud to present dXTR as yet another quality application for the arms export community.

Please note that dXTR is meant to serve as a reference and is not intended to replace the official ITAR or other regulatory documents, or to relieve exporters or importers of their statutory responsibility to comply with U.S. Government laws, regulations, policies and procedures. It is further not intended to be relied upon for legal or regulatory advice or scrutiny.
